We invite you to tame the Lion...Lion's Paw has routinely been described as Willard Byrd's finest work. Approaching the first tee you'll find it hard to describe the excitement you feel as you get set to encounter this masterful layout.

Lions Paw golf course, Part wild and untamed, part rustic and quiet, this magnificent course presents a Lion's share of adventure and breathtaking scenery. Golf Digest's "Places to Play" awards Lion's Paw the "best in the Myrtle Beach area" in 1997.

PANTHER'S RUN:

Panther's Run Golf Links was born to be a different kind of challenge. Such a variety of elevations seems almost incredible to find all in one place. Tim Cate has unleashed this true gem that winds its way along the edge of a nature preserve and continually tests one's ability to stay out of or hit over the surrounding marsh land.

Panthers run golf links, wide fairways that twist and turn up and down presenting you with a variety of lies along with scenic water features seem to come together perfectly to create one of the most visually interesting courses in the Carolinas. We invite you to tame this wild breed of golf.

TIGER'S EYE:

Tiger's Eye Golf Links, Ocean Ridge Plantation's crown jewel, is an upscale daily-fee 18 hole golf course carved from a virgin pine and hardwood forest in Sunset Beach, N.C. Designed by golf course architect and land planner Tim Cate, Tiger's Eye is one of three championship layouts at Ocean Ridge Plantation.

Cate and Ed Gore Sr., the visionary behind Ocean Ridge Plantation, have been collaborating on the planning, designing and routing of Tiger's Eye for the past several years. Cate took advantage of the land's setting, giving each hole its own unique personality.

Tigers Eye golf links, the varying challenges of the greens mirror the classic look and feel of Pinehurst. The generous, undulated, fast- paced greens, which resemble warped plywood, yield numerous pin placements that are obscured from view and guarded by water and/or sand hazards. The mature long leaf pine groves also add to the Pinehurst look of Tiger's Eye, but the mature, dense hardwood forest that lines the fairways and encircles the greens remind golfers that they're in the Low country.

LEOPARD'S CHASE:

Leopard's Chase Golf Club is the newest ferocious "Top Cat" at Ocean Ridge Plantation, joining the award winning Tiger's Eye, Panther's Run and Lion's Paw. This breathtaking par 72 championship layout was designed by renowned golf course architect and land planner Tim Cate.

Labeled "a masterpiece" by those fortunate enough to have played Leopard’s Chase since its opening in February 2007, the course features mature TifSport Bermudagrass fairways and immaculately manicured L-93 bentgrass greens. Traversing more than 220 acres of natural coastal terrain, Leopard’s Chase is graced with scenic landscapes, scattered with native grasses and plantings, including preserved wetlands, creating a series of picturesque vistas.

The level of detail -from landscaping to extensive drainage- in unison with the time Tim Cate spent crafting Leopard’s Chase, gives the course a mature look uncommon to most new courses. Highlighting the front 9 is the par 4 fifth hole, with its “island” green awash in a sea of pearl-white sand created by a large waste bunker that stretches 90 yards into the fairway.

Leopards Chase golf course, the biggest architectural splash on the course occurs at the par four 18th hole which moves slightly leftward to an elevated green guarded by an elegant man-made waterfall. Sixteen hundred gallons of water per minute cascade down a wall of coquina boulders, the same type of rocks that made Tiger’s Eye famous. Leopard’s Chase features 5 sets of tees to offer a challenge suitable to all levels of golfers with the championship tees stretching to a formidable 7155 yards and carrying a slope of 140 and a course rating of 74.3
