Ian Wilson Larmore was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in March of 2006. He has been an inspiration to many adults and their children during his journey. Along this journey Ian has been to the Operating Room at CHKD more than 25 times, and was hospitalized for 10 months. During this grueling treatment process he earned the nickname 'Iron Man' and is continuing his fight.
Currently, Ian is in remission (2 1/2 years) and spending his free time trying to catch up for the year he spent in the hospital battling for his life.
During the past year, our foundation raised $17,000 (mainly from the 2008 Iron Man Classic) These funds were distributed in the following way:
~$3,000 - CHKD
~$11,000 - St Balrick's Foundation
~$3,000 - Edmarc Hospice for Children
